COVID19-“No-Entry” for devotees in ISKCON temple
Bengaluru (Karnataka)- The devotees would be really disappointed to hear that the officials of International Society for Krishna Consciousness ISKCON announced that public visit to the temple has been prohibited amid coronavirus outbreak.
Naveen Neerada Dasa, spokesperson of ISKCON temple, told in an interview, “The health and safety of the public is paramount importance. I know this step has disappointed many devotees but I would urge the devotees not to panic as this is just a precautionary measure.”
He further said ” Social distancing is the best way to avoid the spread of Coronavirus-it is just for a few weeks. But at the same time, the daily temple aartis and special sevas will be conducted by the resident devotees of the ISKCON temple.”
“Even the resident devotees are taking extreme precautions, we have sanitizers installed everywhere. Even during aartis, we maintain a safe distance of 3 feet from each other,” he added.
India has registered the total number of 147 covid-19 cases including 122 Indians and 25 foreign national.
