Rishikesh, Uttarakhand- [December 9 2023] India’s esteemed Union Minister of Home Affairs and Member of Parliament, Shri Amit Shah Ji, along with his accompanying delegation, was warmly received at Parmarth Niketan Ashram in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, on the holy banks of Mother Ganga, better known as the yoga capital of the world. This visit followed His participation in the Global Investors Summit being held in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, which had been inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modiji yesterday.
Shri Amit Shahji was warmly welcomed by Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswati Ji, President of Parmarth Niketan, receiving a warm welcome marked by the traditional blowing of conch shells, and the chanting of sacred mantras by Parmarth Niketan’s Rishikumars, and later participated in the world-renowned Parmarth Ganga Aarti ceremony at sunset.
The Ganga Aarti ceremony was a grand affair joined by the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami Ji, led bySwami Chidanand Saraswatiji, Pujya Baba Ramdevji, Pujya Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswatiji, alongside so many other revered saints of the Rishikesh/Haridwar region and devotees from across India and around the world. Special offerings dedicated for world peace in the Vishwa Shanti Havan on the banks of the National River Ganga were done just before the sacred Aarti ceremony with all dignitaries.The Ganga Aarti concluded with the sacred National Anthem amidst chanting of Bharat Mata Ki Jai!.
Pujya Swamiji notably presented the Respected Shri Amit Shahji with Parmarth Niketan’s distinctive and signature eco gifts—the sacred Rudraksha sapling and a divine cardamom garland. These symbolic offerings were thoughtfully selected as they bring life and are sustainable, in addition to their spiritual and cultural significance, emphasising the importance of honouring nature, culture and ancient traditions.
