The event, hosted by CD Foundation, featured H.E. Ms. Becks Buckingham OBE, Minister Counsellor from the UK Embassy in New Delhi, H.E. Alexandros Boudouris , Deputy Head of the Mission, Greece, H.E. Mr. Wang Xinming, Minister Counsellor, China, representatives from USA and Japan, Mr A.K. Hek. Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, Government of Meghalaya, Mr. BH ANilkumar IAS, Representative from Japan, Mr Ramchandru Tejavath IAS, Mr Dalip Singh, IAS, Mr OP Singh IPS, Mr RK Srivastva, IAS, Mr SC Gupta IAS, Mr Jatin Lal IAS, Ms Anuradha Pal IAS, Mr Vishnu Kumar, IPS, Mr Vipin Gupta , Mr S Siva Kumar and Ms Charu.

Pythian Games and Olympics trace their origins to ancient Greek history, being part of Panhellenic Games from 582 BC to 394 AD. Both the Ancient Olympics and Pythian Games ceased altogether in 394 AD. The Modern Olympic Games were introduced by Mr. Pierre de Coubertin. , a Frenchman, in 1894, while Mr. Bijender Goel, an Indian, shared the concept of the Modern Pythian Games at the Delphi Economic Forum in Greece in 2022. The Delphi Economic Forum is led by the Hon’ble President of Greece.

Delhi is now gearing up to revive the ancient Pythian Games as the Modern Pythian Games, blending arts, cultures, traditional games, and sports. Scheduled from December 19th to 21st, 2023, at Tyagraj Stadium in New Delhi,

The first Pythian Games Festival 2023 anticipates over 10,000 participants from 10+ countries and 25 Indian states.

Special benefits are extended to students of Delhi government schools to showcase their Arts and talent in painting.

The diverse events encompass music, dance, photography, painting, clay art, cultural dress shows, comedy, drama, martial arts like taekwondo, karate, muaythai, bagatur, traditional games like Mallakhambh and indiaca, as well as sports like 3000-meter marathon, 50-ball cricket, feintball, and international football competitions.

Delhiites are eagerly anticipating the grand return of international football competitions after a prolonged hiatus.

the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi today met with all organising  committee of Pythian Games and  committee invited LG for the opening ceremony of 1st Pythian Games Festival 2023 at Tyagaraj Stadium, Delhi from December 19-21, 2023. Mr BH Anilkumar IAS, India Vishnu Kumar IPS, Vipin gupta, TP Singh, S Siva kumar.
