Kanika kapoor denies “negligence” charges
VON News- Famous bollywood singer, Kanika kapoor, who tested positive for Covid-19 and booked for negligence charges, denied “negligence” on her part .Said, she didn’t dodge the airport authorities when she returned from London as she landed home on March 9.
She said there was no such annoucement by the government about “self-quarantine” at that time.
Earlier, an FIR was registered against Kanika Kapoor at Sarojini Nagar police station, said Police Commissioner Surjit Pandey.
“An FIR was lodged at the Sarojini Nagar police station under the Indian Penal Code IPC Sections 269 (negligent act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life),270 (malignant act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life) and 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant),” he told
Two more FIRs are likely to be filed against the singer at the Hazratganj and Gomtinagar police stations as she had visited at least three gatherings in the areas falling under their jurisdiction.
Meanwhile, all the events she attended, will be thoroughly investigated for the list of visitors and locations.
