Eiffel Tower evacuated after bomb threat, says French Police

The Eiffel Tower was evacuated on Saturday following a bomb threat, said the French police. According to officials, the Paris landmark and its immediate surroundings were evacuated as a precaution and a bomb squad was also dispatched. The evacuation began around noon (local time) and the tower was cleared of visitors by 1:30 pm. It will remain closed for the time being, the French media reported.
