Dummy execution of Nirbhaya convicts conducted at Tihar jail

New Delhi– A hangman from meerut named Pawan, conducted a dummy execution of the Nirbhaya convicts at Tihar jail on Wednesday.

All the four convicts- Pawan Gupta, Mukesh Singh, Akshay Singh Thakur and Vinay Sharma, are scheduled to be hanged on March 20, at 5:30 a.m. in Tihar jail.

A Delhi Court on Tuesday, cancelled a petition, filed by Mukesh Singh, one of the convicts of Nirbhaya gang rape and murdrer case, seeking countermand of death penalty claiming that he was not in Delhi when the crime occured.

A 23-year old, paramedical student, who is now known as ‘Nirbhaya’ was brutally gang raped and murdered by six people in a moving bus,on 16th December 2012. One of the six people was a juvenile. The girl died after few days, at Singapore hospital.
